2009 MILO in2CRICKET Female Cup Champions, Green Valley
The Kings School and Green Valley have taken out the boys and girls divisions respectively at the 2009 MILO in2CRICKET Cup State Finals played on the Sydney Cricket Ground today (December 7).
The MILO in2CRICKET Cup is a state-wide Super 8s competition for primary school boys and girls.
Schools start by competing against other teams from their zone for the right to progress to the Regional Final. The winners of the Regional Finals move on to the State Final.
Eight teams contested each division of the State Finals. Teams were divided into pools of four with the top side in each going on to play for the title.
In the boys Final, Kings (5-106) defeated Panania North (7-90), while Issac, from Panania North, was named the Best and Fairest player for the day.
In the girls Final, Green Valley (2-91) defeated Mortdale (6-51) with Teghn from Green Valley named Best and Fairest.
Both Best and Fairest players won a Kookaburra cricket bat and a tin of MILO.
There were also prizes of signed RTA SpeedBlitz Blues and NSW Breakers bats awarded for the boy and girl who were able to hit the MILO sign.
The winners here were Indianna from Mortdale for the girls and Issac from Panania North for the boys.
