Queenwood School for Girls Cricket Team
Mike Israel from Deloitte Australia and Graeme Dennis from Clayton Utz attended Northcott’s 13th Annual Cricket Legends Lunch held on the 19th February 2009. The lunch included a legendary team of past and present NSW and Australian cricketers who took the pitch to support and raise much needed funds for children and young adults with disabilities. Thanks to the generosity from all who attended, Northcott successfully raised $100,000 to provide 600 nights of respite care to children and young adults with disabilities.
At the lunch, Mike and Graeme won an auction prize for the opportunity to attend a training session and barbeque with the NSW Breakers at the SCG. Graeme and Mike generously gave this prize to the Queenwood School for Girls Cricket Team.
The girls from Queenwood had a great afternoon yesterday, 16 February 2010, rubbing shoulders alongside NSW Breakers players Sarah Aley, Sarah Coyte and Angela Reakes including training activities and a barbeque.
Without the support of supporters such as Graeme Dennis and Mike Israel and the greater community, Northcott would not be able to continue providing vital services to people with disabilities and their families.
