NSW Cricket Umpires and Scorers Association conducts training courses on the Laws of Cricket for prospective umpires on three occasions during the year at Cricket NSW.

Courses are presented by the Association’s team of accredited trainers and are held during March, July and November.

Each course is held over five sessions, with an Assessment on the Laws of Cricket held at the conclusion of the course.

Successfully completing this Examination on the Laws enables the candidate to apply for membership of NSW Cricket Umpires and Scorers Association, the largest of its type in the world with in excess of 1250 members.

Members of the Association officiate in the Sydney Cricket Association Grade competition, and also in senior representative matches conducted by the NSW Country Cricket Association.

We currently have two members in Simon Taufel and Rodney Tucker officiating in matches at the international level, while members Gerard Abood, Greg Davidson, Michael Kumutat and Anthony Wilds continue to receive appointments to representative competitions conducted by Cricket Australia.
