Kids from different communities with NSW Premier, Barry O'Farrell MP, and Cricket NSW Chairman Dr Harry Harinath OAM
The appeal of cricket in the Australian community reaches far and wide, as was demonstrated earlier this month with 300 families from culturally diverse backgrounds invited to the KFC T20 Big Bash League match between the Sydney Thunder and Sydney Sixers at ANZ Stadium.
On the night, 20 kids dressed in attire symbolising their cultural heritage were selected to form a Guard of Honour for the players. They then joined NSW Premier, The Hon. Barry O’Farrell MP, and Cricket NSW Chairman, Dr Harry Harinath OAM, for a photo on the field.
