The final day of the three day match between the NSW 2nd X1 and the ACT in Canberra, ended with the visitors winning on first innings despite a valiant chase from the home side.

After a Khawaja century had set up a first innings total of 449, ACT batters Dukoski and Devoy both compiled half centuries, as a stream of contributions from the middle and lower order helped the ACT reach 370 all out. Sean Abbott, was the mainstay of the bowling with his first five wicket haul for the State, finishing with 21-1-86-5.

New South Wales were then required to bat a second time and finished the day at 4-175, with Scott Henry (44) and Tim Cruickshank (58), enjoying their time in the middle.
