2010/11 was another massive summer for Alex Blackwell.

After leading Australia to the World Twenty20 title in May 2010, she returned to captain the Lend Lease Breakers to a sixth consecutive National 50 over title and was at the helm of the Southern Stars when they defeated England in a One Day Series and regained the Ashes.

Her form for the Lend Lease Breakers was again outstanding. She made 272 runs at an average of 54.40 in the Twenty20 competition, including a brilliant 99 not out against the ACT which earned a standing ovation from a healthy crowd at ANZ Stadium.

In 50 over cricket she scored 276 runs at an average of 69.00 with a top score of 157 against Tasmania at North Sydney Oval. She was also Player of the Match in the 50 over Final with 68 not out.

Off the field she has started a new career as a Genetic Counsellour.
